Domaine Anita 2020 Morgon “Chateau-Gaillard” (94 JS, 92 WE)

Originating from lieu-dit Ch teau Gaillard, a plateau between Fleurie and Morgon with a strong wind influence, the 70-year-old vines here are located on twisted granite. Grape are destemmed at 80% and aged in 5-7-year-old barrels. The wine offers a splendid terroir expression, with bing cherries, fresh prunes, minerals, and smoky notes.

Enormous concentration and finesse on the widescreen, velvety palate. With a little more drive at the finish, this would rate even higher, but it still blew our minds!
